2025 Rosendale Rapids Coaches
Coach Jack has been swimming competitively for 13 years and is currently in his sophomore year at State University of New Paltz studying Visual Arts and Business. He began swimming for Harbor Seals swim team at the age of 7 and joined Rosendale Rapids at the age of 12. He also swam with Phoenix Aquatic Club and Kingston YMCA Hurricanes. He qualified for State Championships his Senior year of varsity swimming in the 50 free and 100 butterfly. Jack took the podium 6 times at 2025 SUNYAC Championships with his individual events 50 free, 100 fly and 200 fly as well as 200 Medley, 400 Medley and 400 free relays. Additionally, Jack was also on HS varsity track and soccer team and played soccer for Rondout Rovers club. This will be his fourth year coaching and he is very excited to be back and making the practices fun, friendly and a bonding experience for all.
Hayle is finishing out her sophomore year of college at East Carolina University. She is majoring in Political Science under the Pre-Law program with a minor in Psychology. Hayle has swam with the Rapids for 7 years, and this will be her fourth year coaching. She has swam since she was 4 years old on the Kingston Hurricanes and spent 6 years on the Kingston High School Varsity swim team. At college Hayle is part of a service sorority and spends her time volunteering for her college town. She is excited to be coaching again this year and to teach the sport she loves!
Erin has been swimming competitively for 8 years. She is a Freshman at Binghamton University SUNY studying Neuroscience. Erin began her swimming career with the rapids in 2018. She also swam for Kingston’s high school varsity swim team for four years as well as a couple club teams during the winter, qualifying for sectionals and YMCA states. She has experience teaching young swimmers at the YMCA and Starfish summer camp. Erin is very excited to be joining the team again this year and is looking forward to helping swimmers succeed while also having fun!
Clara has been swimming competitively for 12 years and 7 years with Rosendale Rapids. She has taught team swim lessons for three years including preparing younger swimmers for USA swim team tryouts. She has also worked as a lifeguard at the Rosendale Rec Pool for three years. During her swim career she qualified and competed at States for three consecutive years, for her senior year she swam the 50 free and 100 free and placed 6th and 7th. This past year at Varsity Section 9 Championships she placed 1st in 50 free and 1st in 100 free. She is a USA swimmer and swims for Hawks Swimming Association. She is in her senior year at Rondout Valley High School where she is additionally part of a track team. Clara is committed to Siena College and will be swimming for their team in the fall. She is very excited to coach this summer and share her love for swimming.
Grace swam with the Rapids for 8 years. This will be her third year coaching the Rapids pre-team. She began swimming with the Rapids at the age of 9. Grace previously swam with the YMCA Hurricanes and qualified for YMCA States three years. She also swam for the Kingston High School Varsity Team during 8th, 9th and 10th grade. Grace is finishing her junior year at Rondout Valley High School where she plays Varsity lacrosse. Grace also plays lacrosse with Yellow Jackets Dutchess and Beast Lacrosse. Grace loves working with children. She has been teaching swimming lessons through the YMCA since she was 14, teaches lessons at the Rosendale Pool and also teaches small group and private lessons to several families in the community. Grace enjoys making swim fun and is excited to work with our swimmers this summer!
Natalie‘s been on the Rosendale Rapids for eleven years. She started swimming at five years old with the pre-team, this was before Rosendale had its own pool and everyone had to swim at Wiltwyck. The swim team has always been her favorite part of summer break and it has helped her to become a better swimmer. She now swims for the Kingston Varsity team and the Hurricanes during the school year. She still remembers her pre-team coach, Mary, and hopes to make a similar impact on this year’s pre-team. Most of all she can’t wait to coach and have fun this summer!!
