Good morning Rapids Families! Here is an overview of what was discussed the last two nights at the parent meetings. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

***The Rapids Website and the App are your friends! You will use these for meet and job sign ups, information and updates, and all team communications.

Practice Schedule (schedule on SwimTopia)

• Practice will be held Monday-Friday evenings while school is in session. 
  • 5:00-6:00 - Practice for 12 and under swimmers
  • 6:00-7:00 - Practice for 13 and older swimmers
• Day practices begin on Mon, 6/27 through Fri, 7/29 (Monday - Friday mornings)
• Currently, we are not requiring sign-ups for time slots. If we find that one of the time slots is too crowded, we will have to re-assess our policy.
  • 8:00-9:30 - Practice for campers and swimmers who work (10 and under swimmers will practice 8:00-9:00)
  • 9:30-11:00 - Non-campers (10 and under will practice 9:30-10:30)
  • Coaches will adjust swim times as needed based on level of experience
• We are required by the Town of Rosendale to have a parent monitor the bathroom during each practice. Parents simply have to sit outside the bath house to ensure there are no issues and no one is making a mess or leaving items or garbage behind. Signups are available beginning next week on the signup calendar. Please let us know if you can help us out this week.

Meet Schedule and Signups

• Meets begin on Saturday, July 2nd. We will have 7 dual meets (4 away and 3 home), as well as a DUSO Championship at the end of the season.
• Event selections are due the Tuesday before Sat meets and the Sat before Wed meets.
• Only the website, go to "Meets and Events" and click on the Signup Calendar.
• On Sun, 6/19, meets and jobs assignments will open. Your swimmer will select 3 events (only one freestyle event).

• Families are also required to work 4 meets throughout the season. As we mentioned the last 2 nights, we are a small team this year. We try to make the jobs manageable, but we will need help and home meets will be all hands on deck to make it work.

Merchandise and Banner Sponsorship

• Bathing suits and caps will be distributed at practice next week
• Apparel (shirts, hoodies, etc) will be in towards the end of the month.
• Caps can still be purchased in the merch store, or at practice (we have new RED caps for 2022!)
• Banner Sponsorship can also be purchased on the website, or reach out to Millie for more information.
