Hello, Rapids families! 
     With a sense of urgency, we are inviting families to attend the upcoming Rapid's organizational meeting for the 2024 swim season. The board looks forward to another amazing swim season, in which coaches, parents, and swimmers work together to continue building a strong supportive community, but the future of the team is precarious.
     The first board meeting will be held on October 19th at 6:30 PM in the Rosendale Recreation Center. Mark your calendars and attend!
It is imperative to inform our current community that the Rapids Swim Team is a volunteer run organization and the team is in jeopardy because half of the board members who served will no longer be serving in key roles. This leaves gaps that need filling beyond the minimal four meet shifts, honestly. The reality is that the team needs an increased investment from volunteers or the team cannot be sustained.
Please come to the meeting to learn how you can serve the Rapid's team to move forward together. Whether it's becoming a board member, recruiting, fundraising, chairing/joining committees, or making a variety of donations, it’s welcome.
We understand how intensive the swim season is, but it's well worth it for all of us.  Our swimmers need us to dive in! See you on 10/19 at 6:30 for pre-season planning!
