Rapids families,

I wanted to start this e-mail with a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped out today. Behind the scenes, there were parent volunteers attending meetings, walking the pool property, bringing their own equipment on site, running to Sam's Club, cooking bacon and egg sandwiches in their kitchens before dawn, and arriving to the pool in the wee morning hours to make sure everything went smoothly today. The leadership of this team is just a group of volunteer parents, just like yourselves, trying to create a positive experience for the swimmers.

While we don't have the numbers to score over New Paltz, we still had impressive placements today and TONS of time improvements and first legal swims. I also saw amazing teamwork, sportsmanship and smiles from our swimmers, which is really what this is all about.

Also, THANK YOU to those who donated food to our "Splash Out Hunger" Food drive! The Rosendale Food Pantry is extremely grateful!!

A few important reminders:

1. Wednesday is our make-up meet at Kerhonkson. We created a new meet file for this event, so if your swimmer plans to attend, please sign them up before the deadline tomorrow.
2. DUSO entries are still open (swim events and volunteer jobs). DUSO entries close on Monday at 5PM!!!! 
3. We are still accepting donations for the Coach Kevin Storrs Memorial Scholarship for a few more days. Please consider making a donation so that we can continue the tradition of awarding senior swimmers in Kevin’s honor. Donations of any amount can be send via Venmo to @Keri-McArdle. We appreciate your consideration and support.
4. RSVPs are open for the Splash Hop, our end of year celebration, which will be held on Mon, 7/29 (rain date Tues, 7/30). PLEASE RSVP as soon as you are able for ALL members of your family who will be attending. We need an accurate count so we can order food and cupcakes and request enough passes so the town can include our guests in their count for the pool. Sign ups will CLOSE on Thurs, 7/25.
