WSI and Lifeguarding classes:

The Zena pool will again be offering Red Cross classes in Lifeguarding and WSI. The age requirement for WSI (Water Safety Instructor) has been lowered to 15 . Students must be 15 by the ending date of the class. If interested, contact Vikki Crowley [email protected] 845-594-5728

Kingston St. Patrick' Day Parade info:

Once again, the Rapids Swim Team will be marching in Kingston‘s St. Patrick’s Day parade! Lineup begins at 11:30 AM on Sunday, March 16, in the Hannaford parking lot of Kingston Plaza. We welcome all swimmers and their families, even bring a friend or two with you who might be interested in joining Rapids this coming summer. We will be marching down the parade route, handing out Rapids team info, stickers and maybe a little candy this year! We’d love everyone to join us, please wear your best green outfit or Rapids swag. This year, we have a very small trailer to decorate with balloons, streamers and signs, and of course, dress in our best parade finery with hats, glasses, feather boas, and necklaces. If anyone has a leprechaun costume, or knows a leprechaun, bring it along to march with us! We’d love to see as man returning Rapids as possible, it’s a lot of fun and it’s a great experience for the kids. Because of the size of the trailer, we are very limited in space to ride, so almost everybody will be actually walking the 2 1/2 miles. There are shuttles down on the strand to bring people back up to Kingston Plaza to the parking lot.
